One blue April some syllables happened.

They struck out from the musical mouths of songsters,

warbled their way through shadows,

burst through pollen clouds,

joisted with gentians.

They mangled the quietness, but nobody noticed.

The guards were taking those naps.

The big poem a day event begins next week.  Just thought I'd see if I could remember how LiveJournal works.  

Every poet knows that April is the cruelest month and that fact alone makes it the perfect time for National Poetry Writing Month or NaPoWriMo 2007.  This year there's even a logo for it.

Can I do this?  I haven't written a poem a day since I was an MFA student in Iowa City.  And that was a long time ago. A very long time ago.
